We recently performed a professional hydrogen gas carbon cleaning service on a customer’s Honda N-WGN here in Ishikawa Prefecture.

Engine Type: S07A (658cc liquid-cooled, inline 3-cylinder, DOHC 12-valve engine)

Pre-Delivery Maintenance: A Fresh Start for a Used Car
The customer recently purchased this Honda N-WGN as a pre-owned vehicle. To ensure it runs in peak condition from day one, they requested our hydrogen gas engine cleaning as part of their pre-delivery maintenance checklist.
Carbon buildup can significantly affect the performance and fuel efficiency of small-displacement Kei-car engines like the S07A, making this preventive service highly recommended for used cars.
Dual-Action Cleaning: Combining Fuel System Cleaner
To prevent future fuel line issues, we also performed a dual-action cleaning process using FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER to target everything from the fuel lines down to the injector tips.
Fuel System Treatment: We poured the FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER directly into the fuel tank.
System Diagnostics: Before introducing the hydrogen, we thoroughly checked the engine sound, vibrations, and exhaust pressure to establish a baseline.
Hydrogen Injection: We hooked up the machine and started injecting hydrogen gas at a safe rate of 100 mL/h, gradually increasing the flow rate while closely monitoring the engine's real-time response.

[In-Progress Impressions] Real-Time Performance Changes During Service
Phase 1: Preparation & Initial Adjustments (0–10 Mins)
To ensure the FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER thoroughly circulated through the fuel lines, we gently revved the engine a few times.
5 Minutes In: The exhaust gas began to feel slightly damp. This is a positive sign that the hydrogen is starting to bind with the carbon deposits, converting them into water vapor. We placed a hand near the tailpipe to check the exhaust pressure and flow—everything was running perfectly.
10 Minutes In: Water vapor started visibly exiting the exhaust pipe. We continued to gradually adjust and increase the hydrogen flow rate based on the engine's real-time feedback.
Phase 2: Engine Stabilization & Optimization (25–40 Mins)
As the hydrogen gas and fuel system cleaner worked in tandem, the physical behavior of the S07A engine began to shift.
25 Minutes In: A noticeable reduction in engine noise and idle vibration was observed. The three-cylinder engine was running much smoother. At this point, we locked in the optimal hydrogen injection rate.
40 Minutes In: We revved the engine a few more times to clear out any remaining loosened carbon. Checking the exhaust tailpipe again, the exhaust gas flow felt significantly smoother and less restricted compared to when we first started the service.
Phase 3: Final Combustion Check (45–50 Mins)
The deep clean was nearing completion, and the engine parameters stabilized beautifully.
45 Minutes In: The exhaust at the tailpipe shifted to a drier feel. This indicates that the carbon buildup has been thoroughly cleared and the engine is achieving highly efficient, clean combustion.
50 Minutes In: After 50 minutes of continuous treatment, the engine noise, idle stability, and exhaust flow were completely consistent and quiet.
With all performance checks showing optimal results, the hydrogen carbon cleaning service was successfully completed!
