We recently performed a Hydrogen Gas Carbon Cleaning service on a Suzuki Swift Sport (K14C engine) for a customer from Shiga Prefecture.
Current Mileage: Approx. 74,530 km
Engine Specs: K14C / 1,371 cc Water-cooled In-line 4-cylinder DOHC 16-Valve Direct-Injection Turbo Engine
Max Output: 140 PS (103 kW) / 5,500 rpm
Max Torque: 23.4 kg·m (230 N·m) / 2,500–3,500 rpm
Service Location & Purpose:
This service was conducted on-site at TMS2026. At around 74,000 km, this treatment was requested as a preventive engine refresh to clear carbon deposits from the direct-injection turbo system, restoring peak performance, responsiveness, and long-term reliability.
Service Procedure:
After completing our initial inspection checks—including engine operational noise, physical vibration, and tailpipe exhaust pressure—we began injecting hydrogen gas into the air intake.
We started at an initial flow rate of 100 L/h and gradually increased the hydrogen intake volume while carefully monitoring the engine's real-time condition.

In-Service Impressions & Observations ↓↓↓
5 Minutes In: Placing a hand near the muffler outlet revealed slight moisture. While tailpipe exhaust pressure was normal, there was a minor interruption (slight hesitation) in the exhaust flow. We also revved the accelerator to check tachometer behavior, noticing a minor needle flutter as the RPMs settled back down to idle. We proceeded while fine-tuning the hydrogen rate to monitor if these symptoms would resolve.
10 Minutes In: Visible water vapor began coming out of the exhaust tailpipe.
15 Minutes In: Engine vibration and acoustic noise began to noticeably subside. At this stage, we locked in the hydrogen injection rate to maintain steady treatment.
45 Minutes In: Rechecking the tailpipe confirmed that the earlier exhaust flow hesitation had completely resolved into a smooth, steady discharge. We revved the accelerator a few times to re-check idle return—the initial tachometer needle flutter was gone, and the RPM needle now dropped down and locked into place with absolute precision ("Pita!").
50 Minutes In: Engine noise and physical vibration became significantly quieter.
55 Minutes In: Checking the muffler again, the exhaust moisture was drying up, indicating clean, optimized combustion.
60 Minutes In: After 60 minutes of controlled hydrogen treatment, the engine demonstrated perfectly stable idling, ultra-quiet operation, and consistent exhaust output. The cleaning service was successfully completed!
