We recently performed a Hydrogen Gas Carbon Cleaning service on a Suzuki Hustler (R06A engine) for a customer in Toyama Prefecture.
Current Mileage: Approx. 41,480 km
Engine Specs: R06A / 658 cc Water-cooled In-line 3-cylinder DOHC 12-Valve Kei-Car Engine
Max Output: 52 PS (38 kW) / 6,500 rpm
Max Torque: 6.4 kg·m (63 N·m) / 4,000 rpm
Reason for Service:
With over 41,000 km on the odometer, this service was conducted as a preventive engine refresh to maintain long-term reliability, smooth responsiveness, and fuel efficiency.
Simultaneous Fuel System Treatment:
To prevent future fuel line and injector issues, we also performed a simultaneous fuel line treatment using FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER. This cleans the entire pathway from the fuel tank all the way to the injector nozzles. The cleaner was added directly into the fuel tank prior to starting the hydrogen injection process.
Service Procedure:
After completing our initial inspection checks—including engine noise, physical vibration, and tailpipe exhaust pressure—we began injecting hydrogen gas into the intake.
We started at an initial flow rate of 100 L/h and gradually increased the hydrogen intake volume while carefully monitoring the engine's real-time condition.

In-Service Impressions & Observations ↓↓↓
To ensure the FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER circulated thoroughly through the fuel lines, we revved the accelerator a few times.
5 Minutes In: A slightly damp exhaust gas began emitting from the tailpipe. Checking the muffler outlet showed that while exhaust pressure was strong, there was a subtle wave (unsteadiness) in the exhaust flow. We proceeded with the service while adjusting the hydrogen rate to see if this flow unsteadiness would clear up.
10 Minutes In: Visible water vapor started coming out of the muffler tip. We fine-tuned the hydrogen flow rate as we moved forward.
20 Minutes In: Both engine operational noise and physical vibration visibly subsided. At this stage, we locked in the hydrogen injection rate.
35 Minutes In: We revved the accelerator a few times to test engine response. Rechecking the muffler outlet confirmed that the earlier flow unsteadiness had completely resolved into a smooth, steady exhaust output. We then resumed fine-tuning the hydrogen volume.
45 Minutes In: Checking the tailpipe again, the exhaust gas felt dry, confirming that clean and optimized combustion was taking place inside the combustion chambers.
50 Minutes In: After 50 minutes of controlled hydrogen treatment, we confirmed perfectly stable idling, reduced engine noise, and consistent exhaust discharge. The cleaning service was successfully completed!
