Hydrogen Carbon Cleaning Performed on Suzuki Landy (MR20) in Toyama, Japan

We recently performed a Hydrogen Gas Carbon Cleaning service on a Suzuki Landy (MR20 engine) for a customer in Toyama Prefecture.
Current Mileage: Approx. 62,880 km
Engine Specs: MR20 / 1,997 cc Water-cooled In-line 4-cylinder DOHC 16-Valve Engine
Max Output: 150 PS (110 kW) / 6,000 rpm
Max Torque: 20.4 kg·m (200 N·m) / 4,400 rpm
Reason for Service:
As the vehicle's mileage has been climbing and the owner noticed a recent drop in fuel economy (MPG), this service was conducted to refresh the engine and restore performance.
Simultaneous Fuel System Treatment:
To prevent future fuel line and injector issues, we also performed a simultaneous fuel line treatment using FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER. This cleans the entire pathway from the fuel tank all the way to the injector nozzles. The cleaner was added directly to the fuel tank before starting the hydrogen injection.
Service Procedure:
After completing our initial inspection checks—including engine sound, vibration, and tailpipe exhaust pressure—we began injecting hydrogen gas into the engine.
We started at an initial flow rate of 100 L/h and gradually increased the hydrogen intake volume while carefully monitoring the engine's real-time condition.

In-Service Impressions & Observations ↓↓↓
To ensure the FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER circulated thoroughly throughout the fuel system, we revved the accelerator a few times. Idle RPM readings were completely stable with no issues.
5 Minutes In: A slightly damp exhaust gas began emitting from the tailpipe. Checking the pressure by placing a hand near the muffler outlet showed that the exhaust flow was somewhat weak, with a subtle wave (unsteadiness) in the discharge pressure. We proceeded while monitoring whether these symptoms would clear up.
10 Minutes In: Visible water vapor started coming out of the muffler outlet. We fine-tuned the hydrogen injection flow rate as we moved forward.
20 Minutes In: Engine noise and physical vibration visibly subsided. At this stage, we locked in the hydrogen gas injection rate.
40 Minutes In: We revved the engine a few times to re-evaluate response. Rechecking the tailpipe confirmed that the earlier weak pressure and flow unsteadiness had completely resolved into a smooth, steady exhaust output. We resumed fine-tuning the hydrogen injection volume.
50 Minutes In: Checking the muffler again, the exhaust gas felt dry, indicating that clean and optimized combustion was taking place in the engine's combustion chambers.
60 Minutes In: After 60 minutes of continuous hydrogen treatment and fine adjustments, the engine demonstrated perfectly stable idling, reduced acoustic noise, and consistent exhaust discharge. The cleaning service was successfully completed!
